Rochmon Record Club: Led Zeppelin “IV”

Tuesday, April 21, 2020

Rochmon Record Club Listening Party, Led Zeppelin – “IV” at Universal Preservation Hall, 25 Washington Street in Saratoga Springs. After touring non-stop for 2 ½ years Led Zeppelin – Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones and John Bonham – retreated to the English countryside to focus on songwriting. The result was Led Zeppelin’s best-selling album and one of the best-selling records of all time. Reverting to the heavily blues influenced sound they developed on their first 2 albums and pushing the boundaries of what they could do musically, Zeppelin created a career defining, 8 song masterpiece which includes  the epic “Stairway to Heaven”, “Rock & Roll”, and every drummer’s dream song “Black Dog”. We’ll listen to Led Zeppelin “IV” on UPH’s state of the art sound system.
