Rochmon Record Club Listening Party, Elvis Costello and the Attractions – “My Aim is True” at Universal Preservation Hall, 25 Washington Street in Saratoga Springs. Seismic shift! That’s the only way to describe what happened when “My Aim is True” hit the turntable! The cover of “My Aim is True”, with Elvis’s classic Buddy Holly pose, is covered with “Elvis Is King” repeated over and over 100’s of times. One listen and there was no denying the King was dead, long live the King! With songs like “Welcome to the Working Week”, “Alison”, “(The Angels Want to Wear My) Red Shoes” and “Less Than Zero” Elvis Costello and The Attractions rocked our world.  Recorded over 11 days and produced by the great Nick Lowe, Elvis changed music forever. We’ll listen to Elvis Costello and the Attractions “My Aim is True” on UPH’s state of the art sound system.
