Rochmon Record Club presents Paul Simon’s Graceland

Tuesday, March 17, 2020

On Tuesday March 17 at 6:30 The Rochmon Record Club will converge to listen and learn about Paul Simon’s 7th solo album “Graceland” at Universal Preservation Hall. Released in 1986 “Graceland” features some of Simon’s most beloved songs and includes performances by over 40 musicians, 13 of them drummers. Songs like “Boy In The Bubble”, “Graceland”, “Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes”, “You Can Call Me Al” and “Homeless” are framed as western music with an extremely heavy African feel.

The Rochmon Record Club Listening Party for Paul Simon’s “Graceland” begins at 7pm with a live, multi-media, audio & video presentation by Chuck Vosganian aka “Rochmon”. A Rochmon Record Club Listening Party is meant to inform and deepen our understanding of the history of the individual performers, songs and the stories that went into the making of this classic album. By listening together, we hear the music again for the first time. We’ll listen to Paul Simon’s – “Graceland” on UPH’s state of the art sound system. Tickets are available at universalpreservationhall.org

UPH will be serving beverages and a variety of hot and cold foods.

The Rochmon Record Club is presented by Universal Preservation Hall.
